Prof. Bandara Wanninayake is a Professor in Marketing attached to the Department of Marketing Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya. He graduated with second upper-class honors from the University of Sri Jayawardanepura, and today he holds a Ph.D. from Tomas Bata University, Czech Republic, an MBA from the University of Colombo, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom.  Currently, he is specialized in lecturing on Strategic marketing management, Sales management, and Consumer Behavior, and Research Methodology at the University of Kelaniya and working as a visiting faculty in both local and foreign affiliated universities and higher education institutions. Further, he has published more than 35 research articles in reputed international research journals and proceedings of international research conferences.
Currently, he is serving as the Director of the Staff Development Center at the University of Kelaniya and a research consultant for several leading companies. Further, he has contributed to more than 10 applied research projects for the clients, namely National Savings Bank, Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, McLerance Mobil Lubricant Limited, Crysbro Chicken Ltd, Peoples Bank, Peoples Leasing, JF Packaging, SEEDs, Chamber of Commerce, Kelani Cables PLC, Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), etc. and another few projects are in progress
