In an outstanding display of skill and precision, M. R. Atheeq Ur Rahman emerged victorious at the Inter University Individual Qualifying Competition 2025, held on March 29, securing first place in the Air Pistol Precision event. Recognized as the best shooter of the competition, Atheeq Ur Rahman achieved an impressive score of 550 out of 600 in the 60-shot men’s category.

The prestigious event, held at the Sri Lanka Ports Authority Security Training School Shooting Range in Colombo 02, was organized by the Academic Air Arms Association (AAAA) under the official regulations of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). The competition attracted 168 skilled participants from 18 universities across the country, each demonstrating remarkable dedication and expertise in the sport.
