Professor Ravi Dissanayake attached to the Department of Marketing Management of the University of Kelaniya was appointed as the new director of the Staff Development Centre of the University of Kelaniya from 1st of November 2023 for three-year tenure. Professor Dissanayake was the founding coordinator of the Staff Development Unit of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies (FCMS) of the University of Kelaniya and he served as a resource person to Staff Development Activities of the University of Kelaniya

and other public and non-state universities as well. He is the chief editor of the Sri Lanka Journal of Marketing published by the University of Kelaniya. He has been awarded as the most outstanding young researcher award for 3 times and most outstanding senior researcher for 2 times in the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies of the University of Kelaniya apart from the Senate awards received for high quality research publications for 4 times. Professor Dissanayake has been rated as 4-star researcher based on his h-index achievement published by Google scholar.

He has been serving as a corporate trainer and consultant to reputed corporates in Sri Lanka and few of overseas ventures whilst contributing his expertise to national and international award ceremonies as the chair of the jury and a member in the scopes of export performances, digital business, advertising & branding, corporate leadership, and youth empowerment.
