MoU Signed Between University of Kelaniya and Roar Digital (Facebook ASP)
The Department of Marketing Management (DMM) of the University of Kelaniya, signed a MoU with Roar Digital on the 15th of March 2021 at the University premises. With this collaboration, Roar Digital now comes on board as one of the members of the CPMG Accreditation committee as well as a delivery partner of the Bachelor of Business Management honours in Digital Marketing.
The Bachelor of Business Management Honours in Digital Marketing is the newest degree unveiled by DMM which adheres to the requirements of the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF) and to the international quality standards as an ISO 9001-2015 certified department. The primary aim of the new degree is to produce digital business strategists – highly competent and agile professionals capable of synthesizing business knowledge with emerging digital tools and techniques in generating proprietary insights and value to businesses. This collaboration is surely another step in the process that makes DMM undergraduates readily employable.
Roar Digital is Facebook’s Authorized Sales Partner in Sri Lanka that serves all Sri Lankan agencies and advertisers, by providing local currency billing solutions, training and consultancy as campaigns across Facebook’s family of apps are executed. It is a great honor to have them on board as it is their first ever MoU signed with a State University which sure made history.
Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor - University of Kelaniya, and Umair Wolid, Chief Marketing Officer- Roar Digital signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organizations and were joined by Senior Lecturer Dr. P. N. D. Fernando, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Senior Lecturer Dr. Ravi Dissanayake, Head- Department of Marketing Management, Udara Dharmasena, VP- Client Success- Roar Digital, Udara Hettiarachchi, VP- Client Partnerships, Roar Digital, and other faculty members.
