The University of Kelaniya recently celebrated its 151st General Convocation, a milestone event that recognized the academic excellence and remarkable achievements of its graduating students. Among the brightest stars of the evening was Stefan Thamel, who was honored with the Faculty Gold Medal for the Most Outstanding Student Performer of the Year - 2025, sponsored by the Bank of Ceylon, Sri Lanka.

Stefan’s exceptional journey in the Bachelor of Business Management (Honours) in Digital Marketing program reached its pinnacle when he secured not just one, but two of the most prestigious awards at the convocation. In addition to the Faculty Gold Medal, he was also awarded the “Best Achiever” Gold Medal for Digital Marketing -  2025, sponsored by ROAR Global. These recognitions are a testament to his hard work, dedication, and passion for both academic and professional excellence.

Throughout his undergraduate journey, Stefan consistently demonstrated outstanding performance in both academic and extracurricular activities.
