Launching Ceremony of the Case Studies in Accounting Journal 2022 – Volume 09

The launching ceremony of the “Case Studies in Accounting Journal 2022 – Volume 09” was organized by the students of Batch 2011/ 2012 of the Department of Accountancy and was held on Thursday, 20^th of October 2022 via online (Zoom). “Case Studies in Accounting Journal” is one of the annual publications of the Department of Accountancy, which enables the students to publish the learning experiences they gathered during their compulsory internship period in different audit and non-audit sector organizations as case studies.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest of the event, Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Professor P.M.C. Thilakarathne, Vice Chancellor of the Open University of Sri Lanka, the Guest of Honor of the event, Dr. Narada Fernando, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Keynote Speaker of the event, Mr. Sanjaya Bandara, President of the CA Sri Lanka, Panelists of Mr. Rajith Perera (Partner – Ernst & Young), Mr. Radhitha Alahakoon (Partner – KPMG Sri Lanka & Maldives) & Ms. Chameeri Ihalagamage (Senior Manager – KPMG Australia), Professor Dilrukshi Yapa Abeywardhana, Head - Department of Accountancy. Further, the event was graced by Prof, Ruwan Abeysekara, Head, Department of Finance, Ms. Hasini Perera, Moderator of the discussion forum, Ms. Navini Perera, Internship Coordinator of the Department of Accountancy for the year 2021/2022, Professors, Senior Lecturers & Lecturers of the department, training partners, industry experts, alumni members, professionals, and undergraduates of the Department of Accountancy.
