25th Anniversary Celebrations of the Faculty

The Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies (FCMS) of the University of Kelaniya proudly celebrates its 25^th anniversary this year. In commemoration of the anniversary celebrations, the event was held on the 02^nd of December 2021 in hybrid mode.

In line with the event, a tree-planting campaign sponsored by ‘Manusath Derana’ was held. Further, the Center for Management Research (CMR) of the FCMS was named the ‘W. M. Jayarathne Center for Management Research’. The Faculty Anthem, and the 25^th Anniversary Commemorative Book titled ‘Glorious Years of Success’ were launched in the event. Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. D. M. Semasinghe, former Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof P. M. C. Thilakarathe, current Vice-Chancellor of the Open University of Sri Lanka, Senior Lecturer Dr. P. N. D. Fernando, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Deans of the other Faculties, Heads of the Departments, pioneering members of the FCMS, and distinguished invitees participated in the event.
