The signing ceremony was attended and addressed by several notable individuals. Vice-Chancellor Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva addressed the audience with her thoughts on the significance of the MoU, highlighting the potential benefits it could bring to both parties. Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Prof. P. N. D. Fernando, also shared his excitement for the partnership and expressed his hope for a fruitful collaboration between the two organizations. Head of the Department of Human Resource Management, Senior Lecturer Mr. M. D. P. Pieris, offered his perspective on the role of HR in the modern business landscape and how this partnership could help prepare students for success in the field. Meanwhile, Mr. Malinda Balasooriya, Director/CEO at H R Mates Lanka, emphasized the significance of catering well-trained graduates to the industry to meet the needs of them. Their speeches added depth and meaning to the event and showcased the enthusiasm and dedication of the University of Kelaniya towards this new venture.

hSenid Business Solutions, a leading Human Resources solutions providers in Sri Lanka, partnered with the University of Kelaniya, a prestigious state higher education institution, adding a new field of study to their business curriculum. Accordingly, an MoU was signed between the University of Kelaniya and hSenid Business Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. on the 06th of June 2019 at the Vice- Chancellor’s Office.

The MoU was signed with the objective of providing hands on experience on a Human Resources Information Systems for HRM undergraduates as a part of curriculum. This partnership further amplifies the scope of the program, adding in strategic value to the study of Human Resources. The module aims to capture the essence of HRIS, encapsulating the complete automation of HR with Analytics and Artificial Intelligence driven HR Tech advancements. A partnership aimed at grooming future minds in the pursuit of building a strong business landscape in Sri Lanka that moves ahead globally with technology.
