Department of Marketing Management Launches First-Ever Digital Monthly Newsletter: Impact Marketer
The Future Marketers Association, the official student body of the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya, proudly celebrated the successful launch of its first-ever digital monthly newsletter, Impact Marketer, on the 29th of April 2025. This momentous event was held at the FCMS Auditorium and was attended by a distinguished gathering of undergraduates of the department, academic staff, and the Guest of Honour, who is one of the proud alumni of the department.
The much-anticipated Digital Outlook Sri Lanka 2025 report has officially been launched, offering cutting-edge insights into the digital behavior of Sri Lankan consumers. This annual market insight report is a result of a strategic collaboration between the Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing (APIDM) and the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya.

The Future Marketers Association (FMA) of the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya successfully hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 18th of March 2025 at the FCMS Auditorium. The atmosphere was filled with energy, as the event brought together undergraduates across all years of study, alongside faculty members, to celebrate the milestones achieved and discuss the future direction of the association.
The Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya, made an outstanding mark at Razzmatazz Season II, the Inter-University Advertising Competition organized by Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (SUSL). This competition brought together the most creative minds from universities across the country. Three teams from our department participated in the competition, with Team Snap Ads and Team Promo Pros securing places among the top ten finalists.
The Department of Marketing Management at the University of Kelaniya celebrated a significant milestone on March 7, 2025, with the inauguration of the Diploma in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) 2025 batch. This year’s ceremony was particularly momentous, celebrating the enrollment of the 5th external and 10th internal batch while also commemorating the program’s 10th anniversary. Held at the faculty’s auditorium in a hybrid format, the event brought together of over 200 attendees, both in person and virtually via Zoom.

The session was conducted by Daraz, Sri Lanka’s leading online marketplace, which provided students with a comprehensive understanding of e-commerce operations and industry trends as our knowledge partner.
GLAMORA 2.0 the annual Fashion show organized by the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya was held on a grand scale on the 27th January 2025 with the participation of 30 models and 15 designers who were selected from over 100 models and 50 designers. The show was organized on the main theme of ‘Elements’ giving scope for the designers and models to get the most out of their skill of creativity.

The Department of Marketing Management of the University of Kelaniya successfully organised a landmark workshop titled "Innovate and Transform: A Workshop on Design Thinking and AI with SAP" on Saturday, November 23, 2024, under the Diploma in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program. Attracting over 150 participants from both internal and external batches, the event marked a significant milestone as the largest workshop ever conducted for the diploma program.
