What is ERP? and Why?

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning systems which is a generic name used for; “software that is designed to support and automate the business processes” or “information systems those which aid in identifying and planning the enterprise-wide resources needed to make, account for, and deliver customer orders”) system penetration rate in Sri Lankan and Global businesses is very high and it is more than 70% at some conservative estimates. Hence the majority of the businesses today operate using ERPs so the students incapable of operating with such systems will find it tough to seamlessly integrate from education programmes to employability.

After successfully running the Diploma in Enterprise Resource Planning (DERP) for the last five years, DMM is now aiming to offer it to its external learning partners. DERP is designed around the plug-and-play curriculum offered by the SAP University Alliance Programme (UAP). SAP is the global leader in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, and DMM has partnered with SAP to bring ERP-based learning and experience to discerning students of Sri Lanka. Moreover, by partnering with a global education programme such as the SAP-UAP, DMM has provided DERP holders with an unparallel opportunity to differentiate themselves from other diploma holders
