Launching ceremony of the “Achiever Accountant Magazine” 2021
The launching ceremony of the “Achiever Accountant Magazine” (Volume 11 and 2021 Issue) was organized by the Accountancy Students’ Association (ASAK) of the Department of Accountancy was held on Wednesday, 15th of December 2021 via online (Zoom).
“Achiever Accountant Magazine” is the annual publication of Department of Accountancy, which includes articles on contemporary topics in accounting discipline. Further this magazine focuses other related fields such as Finance, Business Management, Auditing and Governance, Entrepreneurship etc. Articles for this magazine are gathered from renowned private and public sector professionals and academics.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Narada Fernando, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Keynote Speaker of the event, Ms. Ms. Samadanie Kiriwandeniya (Managing Director – SANASA International Private Limited & former Chairperson of SANASA Development Bank PLC, Reviewer of the magazine, Mr. Jeard Dias (Partner – BDO Sri Lanka), Guest Speaker of the magazine, Mr. Dhanika Perera (Founder CEO of Bhasha Lanka Private Limited, Prof. Dilrukshi Yapa Abeywardhana, Head - Department of Accountancy.
Further, the event was graced by Prof. P.M.C. Thilakarathne, Vice Chancellor – Open University of Sri Lanka, Senior Prof. Ariyarathna Jayamaha Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies University of Kelaniya, Miss. Navini Perera, Senior Treasurer of Accountancy Students’ Association (ASAK) of the Department of Accountancy, Professors, Senior Lecturers & Lecturers of the department, different industry experts, corporate partners, training partners, professionals and undergraduates of the Department of Accountancy.
