Accredited Exemptions
In recognition of the educational standards and quality of the Bachelor of Business Management Honors Degree in Accountancy programme, a number of local and international professional accounting bodies have been granted exemptions from their examinations.

The Department of Accountancy has proudly secured five prestigious gold medals with cash prizes from leading professional institutions in the field of Accounting and Finance, recognizing academic excellence and outstanding performance.

- The Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA) awards a gold medal with a cash prize to the highest GPA holder in the B. B. Mgt (Accountancy) degree.
- The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) offers a gold medal with a cash prize for the student who obtains the highest aggregate marks in internship in accounting.
- The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) awards a gold medal with a cash prize for the best outstanding performance.
- The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) offers a gold medal with a cash prize to the best student who achieves outstanding performance in the Dissertation.
- The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA) awards a gold medal with a cash prize to the best student who achieves the highest aggregate marks in Management Accounting subjects.
