The ‘Senfin | UoK Stock Market Challenge 2025’, Inter-School Quiz Competition was successfully held on 6th June 2025 at Dharmaloka Hall, University of Kelaniya. The competition was attended by students studying in the A/L Commerce stream from nearly 35 schools across the island. The focus was on improving knowledge about the stock market and creating interest in new investment opportunities.
This was organized for the eighth time by the Students’ Association of Department of Commerce and Financial Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya.
The Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, along with professors, lecturers, and experts from the field, were present as special guests for the occasion.
The tournament was won by Maliyadeva Girls’ College, Kurunegala, while the runners-up were Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo and the third place was won by Nalanda Vidyalaya, Colombo. The winners received certificates, trophies and cash prizes, while all the participating students received certificates of merit.
The main sponsors of the tournament were Senfin Asset Management (Pvt) Ltd. and Senfin Securities, while the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) and the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT) also sponsored the event.
