Business Knowledge Centre
The year 2006 is a remarkable milestone in the course of developing department as it was qualified to achieve a competitive grant from the World Bank funded project – Improving the Relevance and Quality of Undergraduates Education (IRQUE). The Department was able to obtain Rs. 65 million of funds and utilized them mainly for developing human resources and physical facilities of the department and to enhance employability of graduates.
Under the IRQUE project the department has established a ‘Business Knowledge Centre’ consisting of a conference room, research unit and library, post graduate unit and IT lab. Conference room is used for various activities such as conducting staff meetings, coordinating students’ activities and conducting presentations of students. Resource library has a vast collection of books and journals representing various fields such as Management, Research, Finance and Accounting, etc. The computer laboratory consists of nearly 50 computers and it is used to conduct IT practical lectures. Other than said activities, the Business Knowledge Centre is utilized to conduct various activities such as the internship programme, entrepreneurship and innovative skills development, fund generating activities etc.
