The inauguration ceremony of the 06th intake of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) was held on 31st of July 2021 at the Sunil Shantha Memorial Auditorium of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.
DBA offered by the University of Kelaniya is the first DBA programme offered by a state university of Sri Lanka. Recognizing the massive demand in the private sector for a higher end qualification, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies of the University of Kelaniya has introduced DBA which has been specifically designed to the elite corporate.
Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya graced the event virtually as the Chief Guest. Senior Lecturer Dr. P. N. D. Fernando, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Prof. C. Pathirawasam, Coordinator- Doctor of Business Administration, Dr. (Eng.) Sanath Divakara, Director (Manufacturing)-Macson Mesh Industries (Pvt) Ltd and Dr. Nuwan Wimalana, Chairman- DBA Alumni of Kelaniya University were present at the occasion. Selected applicants of the programme joined the event virtually.
