Strengthening Financial Literacy through Partnership with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka
The Department of Finance, University of Kelaniya, signed a landmark MoU with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) on July 3rd at CBSL, aiming to collaboratively promote financial literacy across the country. This partnership will pave the way for joint workshops, seminars, online courses, and community outreach programs focused on building essential financial knowledge and encouraging sound financial habits. The MoU was exchanged by Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Also present at this significant milestone were Prof. Bandara Wanninayake, Prof. Ruwani Fernando, Dr. Chathura Liyanage, Ms. Denumini Dawalagala, and Ms. Nilanka Chamindani, each contributing to this important step toward a financially empowered Sri Lanka.
