University of Kelaniya Inaugurates 9th Batch of Higher Diploma in Business Finance Program
The Department of Finance, under the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies at the University of Kelaniya, celebrated the inauguration of its 9th batch of the Higher Diploma in Business Finance program on September 29, 2024. This prestigious program, designed to equip future finance professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the competitive financial sector, welcomed over 100 enthusiastic learning partners.
The inauguration ceremony was held with the esteemed presence of Professor W.M.C.B. Wanninayake, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, the chief guest of the ceremony. The event was also graced by Dr. J. M. R. Fernando, Head of the Department of Finance; Senior Professor R.P.C. Ranjani, Cadre Chair; and Professor P.N.D. Fernando, former Dean of the Faculty. Corporate representation included Mr. Sunanda Abeykoon, Group Head of Finance at Maxies Group of Companies, the Keynote Speaker of the Ceremony; Mr. Asitha Gunasekara, Coordinator of the Higher Diploma in Business Finance.
