MoU between Softlogic Life Insurance PLC and Department of Finance
The Department of Finance at the University of Kelaniya and Softlogic Life Insurance PLC, a leading insurance firm in Sri Lanka, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to offer a gold medal and internship opportunities for the B.B.Mgt. Honours in Insurance degree programme conducted by the Department of Finance.
Through this partnership with Softlogic Life Insurance PLC, the graduate having a first class with the highest marks in the B.B.Mgt. Honours in Insurance degree programme will be awarded the “Softlogic Life Gold Medal Award”. Further, the Internship Opportunities will also be provided for the students following the B.B.Mgt. Honours in Insurance degree programme.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Iftikar Ahamed, Managing Director of the Softlogic Life Insurance PLC and Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-Chancellor, University of Kelaniya on 16th March 2021. This agreement is effective from 1st January 2021.This will be a great initiation to the Department of Finance in bridging the gap between academia and the corporate sector.
