The Department of Finance at the University of Kelaniya and People’s Insurance PLC, a leading insurance firm in Sri Lanka, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to offer internship opportunities for the B.B.Mgt. Honours in Insurance degree programme conducted by the department.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Chandrasiri Gannile, Head of Human Resources and Administration of the People’s Insurance PLC and Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-Chancellor, University of Kelaniya. This agreement is effective from 15^th August 2020.

Through this partnership with People’s Insurance PLC, practical, educational and training internship opportunities are provided for the students following the B.B.Mgt. Honours in Insurance degree programme. This partnership is aimed in bridging the gap between academia and the corporate sector.
