The annual charity activity organized by the Accountancy Students' Association of University of Kelaniya (ASAK) was a little effort that we undertook to remove their loneliness and gift them a smile.

ASAK organized this one day program on 12th November 2016 at Paramitha Elders' Home, Kelaniya with the participation of Dr. AnuraKarunarathne, Head Department of Accountancy along with all the senior lecturers, lecturers and ASAK committee members.

It was a day filled with fun and happiness. Early morning we went to the Elders' home and cleaned the place. Then we provided them with breakfast and tea. After spending a lovely time with the elders, lunch was served. After that, the entertainment session started. We sang songs with the elders and in no time so many elders came to the front and sang songs alone giving everyone a wonderful experience. We danced together, we laughed together and no doubt it was one of the best days for them as well as for us. While the entertainment session goes on, we served them a soup at the tea time. After the entertainment program, we presented them each a gift pack concluding our charity activity with an evening full of blessings. It was indeed one of the best days we all had in ASAK and we believe that the effort was a success in gifting those elders a smile that would heal their wounds.
