Student Research Conference on Marketing: SRCM-2020

University of Kelaniya is in a continuous effort to foster a comprehensive research culture among their learning partners. With this aim in mind, Department of Marketing Management (DMM) kept another step forward by introducing its student research conference to the academic fraternity in the year 2016. The prime objective of this initiative is inculcating a research mindset among the undergraduates and introducing a bunch of young researchers in to the society. This year, SRCM 2020 was organized by the Future Marketers Association (FMA) for the fourth consecutive time under the activity - Developing socio emotional skills of students through participation and involvement of the AHEAD project. The theme of the conference was “Marketing Dynamics for Digital Age Consumerism”. 

The Student Research Conference on Marketing (SRCM-2020) was held on 28th February 2020 at the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies with the participation of eminent academics and the undergraduates of DMM. The event was graced by Dr P N D Fernando, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Prof. N P Sunil Chandra, the Chairman of the University research council, Prof. R A S Weerasiri – Conference Chair, Dr Ravi Dissanayake, Head, Department of Marketing Management, Dr. Amila Munasinghe - the coordinator of the AHEAD project, Dr. Sriyantha Fernando – the Director of Centre for Management Research, heads of the other departments and all other members of the Department. The keynote speech was delivered by the Guest of Honour of the event - Dr. Nushad Perera, Chief Digital Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC.
