  • Where is the Department of Marketing Management?

The department is located in the F1 building. University of Kelaniya

  • What time does the Department open?

Department office is opened between 8.30 am-5.00 pm from Monday to Friday.

  • How should I obtain my certificate/s?

You should forward a letter requesting the required certificate to the head of the Department through the office assistant, Ms. Nishadi. You  can collect the certificate from the office after three working days.

  • If I cannot see my lecturer in his/her office what do I do?

Email the lecturer concerned and arrange an alternative appointment. Email addresses are provided in the web site.

  • What is the procedure I have to follow when handing over my completed assignment?

Generally, submission details are provided by the Course Lecturer. If this is not the case, you can handover the completed assignment to Ms. Nishadi and confirm your submission by signing the name register provided at the Department office.

  • What happens if I am late an assignment?

If the assignment is late up to 24 hours , 10% of the total assignment marks will be deducted.

  • What do I do if I am sick and cannot attend the lectures for a significant time span?

You can submit medical certificate confirming your illness by your doctor to the office. If required, the records of the lecture attendance also can be obtained from the office.

  • How do I know when/where my exam will be held?

Examination time table will be displayed in the faculty notice board and you are advised to check the notice board to receive the relevant information.

  • What is the 80% attendance rule?

You have to maintain regular attendance for the lectures (specially 1st and 2nd year students) to be eligible  for sitting the examinations. Students with less than 80% of attendance for a subject are ineligible for sitting the examinations.
