This course module is designed to provide a comprehensive knowledge on preparing and presenting a research proposal and knowledge on analytical techniques.
Learning Outcome : aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
By the end of this course unit students should be able to:
  • define what is research
  • describe types of research
  • describe basic concepts of research.
  • statistical software for data analysis
  • develop a preliminary research proposal.


Course Content : Introduction to research; Basic concepts of research;  Research design; Literature review; Conceptual framework; Research Operationalization; Data types & data collection; Tools for data collection; Data analysis & presentation; Report writing; Application of statistical software packages.

Method of Teaching & Learning:

Lectures, Classroom discussions, and Workshops

Scheme of Evaluation:

End semester examination and Research proposal presentation.

The weights given to each component of the evaluation method is announced at the commencement of the module.
