This course module is designed to provide knowledge and skills to develop human resources in an organization.
Learning Outcome : aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
By the end of this course unit students should be able to:
  • define human resource development.
  • distinguish between employee training and human resources development.
  • describe the training cycle and its components.
  • compare different training methods.
  • demonstrate skills pertaining to the functions of a HR Manager;
  • use tools to measure the effectiveness of HRD programs.

Course Content : Introduction to human resources development, concepts on learning, training cycle; identifying training needs, designing training programs, implementing training programs and evaluating training effectiveness, training methods.

Method of Teaching & Learning:

Lectures, Case studies, Workshops, and Skill development activities.

Scheme of Evaluation:

Case studies, Assignments, Presentations and End semester examination.

The weights given to each component of the evaluation will be announced at the commencement of the module.
