The objective of this course unit is to provide students with an overall knowledge on internationalization of business and key decisions in managing an international business.

By the end of this course unit students will be able to:
  • identify factors affecting international business environment.
  • assess international business opportunities.
  • explain foreign market entry modes.
  • explain key decisions related to managing an international business.

Course Content : Scope of international business, frameworks and models on international business entry, international business environment, international business strategy, international business across regions and cultures, documents in international operations, marketing and operational decisions for international businesses, and managing the  international corporation.

Method of Teaching & Learning:

Lectures, Case studies, Seminars, Field Visits and Workshops

Scheme of Evaluation:

Assignments, presentations, case studies and individual reports and end semester examination.

The weights given to each component of the evaluation method is announced at the commencement of the module.
