This course module is designed to provide a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the laws and regulation related to business environment of Sri Lanka.

By the end of this course unit students should be able to:
  • identify the role of laws in the context of business
  • identify the laws related to business activities in Sri Lanka
  • apply different rules and regulations in resolving practical issues


Course Content : Introduction to Law; Law of Contract; Law of Agency; Law of Sale of Goods; Law related to Hire Purchasing Agreements; Law of Negotiable Instruments; Company Law; Law of Partnership; Law of Insurance; Law relating to Intellectual Property.
