By the end of this course unit students should be able to:

  • Describe the role and activities of human resource management in an organization;
  • Identify issues and developments in the field of human resource management.

Course Content :

Introduction to human resource management, human resource planning, job analysis and design, recruitment and selection, performance evaluation, human resource development, rewards, occupational safety, industrial relations and developments in human resource management.

Method of Teaching & Learning:

Lectures, Assignments, Class room Discussions.

Scheme of Evaluation:

End semester examination and Assignment. The weights given to each component of the evaluation method is announced at the commencement of the course unit.
