Aim : To provide knowledge and understanding of relationship between HRM functions and the success of the TQ implementations within the organization

Learning Outcomes : On completion of this course unit, students should be to;

 

  • explain the HR managers role for initiating, maintaining and controlling TQM culture
  • identify how TQM effects for HR practices
  • Plan and implement TQM application within the organization successfully

 

Course Content : The  Human side of Total Quality Management (TQM). HRM and TQM association with Job involvement and employee satisfaction. Managing HR for TQM. The impact of HRM practices on the implementation of TQM. Service quality and HRM. The business process approach to HRM. HR professionals and TQM. Integrating TQM and HRM.

The theme this time was ‘‘Peopling for Innovation’ that discussed particularly HRD issues at different performance contexts: corporates; industry; and national level.
